Lapeer 7th grade football defeated the Cardinals 20-7 in a battle. Lapeer showed a lot of toughness to overcome a sluggish start. Defense shut down the Cardinal offense in the second half coming up with big 4th down stands. Scoring for Lapeer was Talan Sumner with 2 touchdowns, Seth Gavan added a touchdown and extra point. Jacob Garris added an extra point as well. Lapeer closes out the season next week against Grand Blanc.
