With bowlers showing up from all over the state, the S & R Scholarship Tournament is one of the tougher tournaments to participate in every year. Once again, the Lapeer girls did a fantastic job representing the school. After six games of qualifying, many of the Lapeer girls were at the top of list in scoring, but the field was cut down to only the top 18 bowlers.
Bailey Orsette and Jillian Roush both made the cut, and both had the exact same amount of pins, 1075. That’s a 179 average after bowling six game on six different sets of lanes. Jillian bowled well in the elimination round, but was knocked out 178-175. Bailey made it into the top ten, before getting bumped out by the eventual tournament champion. All of the girls represented the school as great bowlers, but even better young ladies.
