Lat week the Lightning girl bowlers traveled to Bay City to take on Mt. Pleasant in the final league match of the season. It took the Lightning a couple of frames to get started, but once they did, they really took off. They started by throwing a 183 Bakers game, getting them rolling on a sweep of the Bakers matches and a 10-0 lead going into head-to-head match ups. The girls continued bowling well the rest match. Sarah Lyerla rolled a 240 and a 233, Cynthia Slater a 181, Hailee Lewis 177, Katie Lovelette 138, and Sara Tereau a 137. The win placed Lapeer fifth in the conference. It was a good accomplishment for the the girls in a very unusual and unpredictable season. And even though the girls had to reschedule matches last minute, and even play two matches short-handed, they never lost their drive or their desire to win.
