Wow! What an exciting weekend of competition! It was so exciting to see our team:
– Break 7 School Records during the Prelims on Thursday
– Have someone in every event for the Finals on Saturday
– Break 7 School Records during the Finals on Saturday
– Total of 8 School Records Broken between Prelims and Finals
– Have 2 people qualify for States during the Finals
– Achieve many new personal best times
– Finish 6th overall out of 10 teams (only 12 points away from 5th place)

– Qualified for STATES in the 50 Free
– Broke his 50 Free School Record in the Prelims and then again in the Finals
– Broke his 100 Free School Record in the Prelims and then again in the Finals
– Outstanding swims finishing in 2nd place in the 50 Free and 6th place in the 100 Free

– Carter finished in 6th place and Qualified for STATES (Dive Regional)
– Carter also broke his school record again for 1 meter – 11 Dives
– This was the first time Keegan and Dylan dove in an 11 Dive meet. They both did an excellent job with Keegan finishing in 11th place and Dylan in 10th place.
– Together they scored 57 points for our team

– Broke the School Record for both their relays in the Prelims and then again in the Finals
– 200 Medley Relay finished in 6th place

– Kyle Martindale finished 16th in the 200 Freestyle – achieved new PB of 2:01.68
– Kyle Martindale finished 11th in the 500 Freestyle – achieved new PB of 5:30.76
– Kate Groulx finished 16tth in the 200 IM – achieved new PB of 2:23.09
– Kate Groulx finished 13th in the 100 Backstroke – achieved new PB of 1:05.80. She broke the School Record in the Prelims and then again in the Finals. Kate had done an outstanding job swimming against the guys and being held to their qualification times. She has great drive and determination, which has helped her have a very successful season.

Lower right corner: Hunter Higgins
– Finished 6th in the 100 Butterfly – achieved new PB of 58.49. He broke the School Record in the Prelims and then again in the Finals.
– Finished 11th in the 100 Breaststroke – achieved new PB of 1:07.22. He broke the School Record in the Prelims and came .01 of it again in the Finals. Last year he ended the season breaking the record at 1:14.17. He has dropped 6.95 since last year through his hard work and great determination. Hunter has big goals for himself and I believe he will achieve all of them!
