Lapeer played a solid Carman team Thursday night. Lapeer trailed the entire first half at one point by 10 points. The Lightning’s bench was able to keep them in it while Dunbar, and Littlejon had foul trouble. Kodee Downey, Owen Hebberd, and Wyatt Keltz all playing a valuable role early. While Brednan Pillar was doing Lapeer’s scoring early. Lapeer cut the lead to 4 points at the half after Keltz 3 pointer at the buzzer. Starting the third quarter Lapeer’s offensive struggles continued along with the foul trouble. However the defense continued to keep them in the game. Giving up just 5 third quarter points. In the fourth quarter Logan Dunbar was able to take over offensively scoring 13 of his 17 in the closing quarter doing it all with 4 fouls. This allowed Lapeer to close the game at the free throw line late. With Littlejon and Pillar icing the game each making a pair of free throws.
