Meet Recap

Our home meet against Brandon last night was very close and came down to the last event. One of our key swimmers, Kate Groulx, did not swim yesterday due to some tendinitis that developed in her shoulder. Our team really pulled together and stepped up to the challenges I threw at them. (We really mixed up the events this meet to try and make up for Kate not swimming.) They all gave 110% and met or surpassed the goals I set for each of them! I am so proud of all of them!

We had seven 1st place finishes last night with some new personal best times achieved. Our team is continuing to drop their times and is getting stronger. Our 1st place finishers were:

200 Freestyle:
Faith Regulinski 2:18.79 *

200 IM:
Sarah Thompson 2:22.03 *
(Time qualified for MISCA)

100 Butterfly:
Alex Roberts 1:24.77 *

100 Freestyle:
Sarah Thompson 57.52 *
(Time qualified for MISCA)

200 Freestyle Relay: 1:56.62
Faith Regulinski, Juliana Sornig, Alexis Polega, Sarah Thompson

100 Backstroke:
Faith Regulinsik 1:12.47

400 Freestyle Relay: 4:14.73
Juliana Sornig, Elaina O’Donnell, Faith Regulinski, Sarah Thompson

Way to go girls! Go Lightning!
