Lapeer rushed for 282 yards led by Jalen Kirkland with 278 yards on 34 carries and 4 TDs. The rushing attack came behind the offensive line and blocking of Jacob Jones, Austin Roth, Brett Coultas, Will Sollie, Luke O’Brien, Ethan Rutledge, Carson Currie, and Kyle Sahr.

Andrew Butterfield played admirably in his first career varsity start in place of the injured Brady Apple. Butterfield finishing 8/12 passing for 63 yards 1 TD and 1 INT.

Lapeer improves to 6-3 and qualifies for the MHSAA state playoffs.
